Energy Efficiency by Modern Lift Control Systems

In the traditional Lift Control Systems;

The braking energy, arisen during the regenerative travel of the traction motor by which motion energy resulting from the load inertia is generated as electric energy, is dissipated as heat energy on the rheostatic resistor connected to the DC link of the drive. Consequently, a significant amount of energy is lost (waste of energy).

In the modern Lift Control Systems;

The braking energy, arisen during the regenerative travel of the traction motor by which motion energy resulting from the load inertia is generated as electric energy, is recovered and fed-back to the grid through AFE200 REGEN DRIVE allowing bidirectional power flow.

Consequently, a significant amount of energy is gained in the form of useful electric energy.

Mikosis Lift Control System with sleep-mode operation feature could provide a significant contribution to the total energy efficiency of the complete lift installation.
